Dr. Howard Bunsis, a member and ex officio of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), is unyielding in his pursuit of transparency regarding university finances. 

Bunsis, a professor of Accounting at Eastern Michigan University, urges administrators from all systems to “open up their books” before making decisions to cut programs or faculty salaries.

Bunsis also often shared his expertise with other CFHE members, and his knowledge has helped others develop a deeper understanding of university finances and oversight.
